A girl with the strength of an eagle. Twelve-year-old Galshan spends the winter with her grandfather in the Mongolian steppe. Galshan learns from him what is needed for survival. Suddenly, a fierce snowstorm hits. The two are cut off from the outside world, and firewood and food are running low. Soon, wolves begin to circle the yurt. When Galshan's grandfather does not return from a ride, she sets out to find him.
