The Zurich German Dictionary is unique in the entire German-speaking world. Never before has a current, regionally limited vocabulary been so comprehensively recorded and edited with such thoroughness and using the latest technical implementation possibilities. With the help of extensive maps, etymological explanations and illustrative text examples, both philological precision and popularity are achieved and an immense joy in the living language is conveyed. The humour, which always flashes up and does not let the dictionary degenerate into a dry matter, is due to the author Heinz Gallmann, who worked on this work with true love, passion and joie de vivre.
