Can I really saw off the arms myself? And then put them back together? Or what is that supposed to mean? I have three 24 inch monitors and the table is all the way against the wall. Thanks for your answer :)

That's not possible, or I can't imagine how it could be done.
However, the three screens will come into the table a bit anyway, so it's comfortable. My table is also against the wall and it works perfectly.
