Epson Perfection V39

I bought this on mid of June and today, I connected the scanner to my macbook but it didn't turn on. Where can I fix it?
Actually, this scanner is auto-powered by USB cable, there is no external power supply.
If it doesn't turn on (blue light in front), there could be 2 reasons:
- either it's defect and then you will need to change it
- or your USB port is not providing enough power. This can happen on some laptops. Try to change USB port or another computer USB. If this is the case, you will need a USB hub with external power supply in order to provide enough energy to scanner.
Since Apple ""upgraded"" it does not work anymore with what I think is something like 32 bit products and my Epson V39 stopped working.
I found a way around it by purchasing a software from Vuescan ($25 lifetime if I remember correct) and then it worked again.
In the end however I found this scanner too cumbersome (manual input page by page etc) and as my printer also started to get ancient I purchased a Brother printer/scanner, MFC-J6530DW, which has not only automatic input but can also handles A3 format.
I had already ordered this from Digitec but then they wrote this would be out of stock for months and I ended up buying it from Mediamarkt at a similar price.
Did you install the Epson software on your machine already?
You would have to contact customer service for this :) Thank you in advance.
