Our kilim rugs are handmade, which means that the texture may vary slightly from rug to rug. They are woven on a Punja loom using a traditional manual weaving technique that is among the oldest in the world. The wool-cotton yarn is dyed by hand, and due to the nature of the wool and dye, some color variations may occur. The kilim weaving yarns have a unique, coarse texture that adds an extra element of tactility to the rug, which is characteristic of traditional kilim rugs.
