A design makes its mark: When Anna Castelli-Ferrieri designs this round container system for Kartell, the company of her husband Giulio Castelli, she has no idea that it will become a design classic, featured in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre G. Pompidou in Paris. However, the container system made of injection-molded, impact-resistant ABS plastic is not only found in museums. The container is often used as a bedside table or as a stackable shelf in bathrooms and kitchens. Due to the rubber ring at the bottom, the round container furniture is only partially stackable. The sliding doors, designed to fit the round shape, are cleverly equipped with a carved-out handle: it’s hard to find a narrower chest of drawers that is as space-saving and elegant.
