The Japanese technique of Kintsukuroi, which sees special beauty in imperfection, inspired the Lambert designers to create these truly extraordinary pieces. Originally, valuable broken ceramic pieces were repaired with gold. In the case of the Kuori vessels and bowls, a small workshop has developed a technique to combine two completely different metals with very different melting points and flow behaviors into a single workpiece. Small irregularities and inclusions are inevitable in this highly complex process and contribute to the unique character of these small artworks. The anthracite patina may vary slightly in color, further showcasing the character of the exceptional craftsmanship. The vessels are not suitable for filling with water. Please use a suitable insert made of glass or plastic if you wish to use Kuori as a vase.
