For those who prefer to use preset scenes and color gradients, there is a wide variety of templates to choose from. The touch panels can be used immediately without setup or Wi-Fi connection. Additionally, no hub is required for installation, and Nanoleaf technology is compatible with common smart home ecosystems. The panels can be controlled directly by touching the main panel or via the app.

A single control unit can manage several hundred panels; however, the manufacturer recommends integrating a second control unit for more than 25 panels. Each Nanoleaf Canvas Smarter Kit contains 9 panels and one control unit, while the expansion pack includes an additional 4 panels. For example, if you need 20 panels for your desired design, you would need one Nanoleaf Canvas Smarter Kit plus 3 Nanoleaf Canvas Expansion Packs (a total of 21 panels). For 25 panels, you would need 2 Nanoleaf Canvas Smarter Kits plus 2 Nanoleaf Canvas Expansion Packs, and so on.
