Starting from the simplest steel parts, MSDS Studio has designed a small architectural side table. Their design "Stock" presents metal in a raw and deconstructed manner while maintaining a delicate, rigid quality. The unconventional arrangement of the table's legs emphasizes the strength of the material and creates an interesting composition of elements. The aesthetic negative spaces—the airy, open area beneath the tabletop and the triangle formed between the angled legs—arise from the departure from the traditional arrangement of table legs, resulting in a new form of symmetry. Stock resembles a small, strict sculpture that also serves as a practical, stable side table.
