Particularly cozy, warm white light can be achieved with incandescent and halogen lamps simply by dimming them to a warmer light color. With Osram's GLOWdim technology, you can also excellently utilize this popular light color with modern and efficient LED lamps. The new LED technology is integrated into the "GLOWdim" product series. Here, different LEDs with varying color temperatures are used, and their light is mixed depending on the dimmer setting. When undimmed, they shine in warm white (2,700 Kelvin). However, to achieve the GLOWdim effect, they can be continuously dimmed down to extra warm white (2,000 Kelvin). A special feature is that the color rendering index (Ra, CRI) remains above 80 even at the lower color temperature.
