"Coffee to Go" and biodegradability do not have to be a contradiction in terms.
Instead of a conventional plastic coating, the new cups have a biodegradable PLA coating.
Due to the heat resistance of the coating, the hard paper cups are ideal for hot drinks such as the popular "Coffee to Go".
