Hello, what is the difference between the Basis and the Basis BT? The price difference is quite big.
Hello Samibell The only difference is that the version with the "BT" is equipped with Bluetooth. You can control the version with "BT" (if you don't have a Hue Bridge) via your smartphone. If you buy the version without the "BT" you have to buy a Hue Bridge to control it via your smartphone, because the communication works via Zigbee.
It won't work with a hook. It has a small bracket which is to be screwed to the ceiling.
They appear to be the same two products, but they do not have the same supplier.
Hello Anonymous Unfortunately I can't help you with your problem. I have the same lamp hanging in my living room and I hear absolutely nothing. My previous lamp, a completely different model and make, also had an annoying buzzing, my electrician said that this could be connected to the transformer, we replaced it and for a while it was quiet but then the whole thing started all over again.
The Hue Amaze can be dimmed, switched on/off or assigned a scene with the app like other Hue lamps. However, pairing/connection with the Hue Bridge is mandatory. Note: The included remote control can also be configured with the app and used with other Hue lamps and groups through the bridge. Note for pairing with the Hue Bridge: Before mounting the lamp, always note the hardware/serial number of the lamp on the base in case the automatic pairing with the Bridge does not work right away.
