1) Can the lamp be connected/powered directly to the monitor via USB-C? 2. how long does the lamp remember the last setting made (does it still have a battery or)?

Again to question 1.. It has a standard USB connection. For a USB-C connection, you would need an adapter, which is not included here.

1) Yes it is connected directly via USB
2) It does not have a built-in battery, so you must always have it plugged in and it only lights up as long as you have your PC/notebook on.
