Can two 20m sets be connected together? Or do I have to buy a 40m set right from the start, even if I don't use the full 40m yet?

There are two strands of 20 metres each. These are permanently connected to the distributor/adapter and cannot be removed individually.
It is approx. 2 metres from the distributor/adapter to the first LED.
The cable from the distributor/adapter to the power plug is approx. 2 metres long. This section can be extended to a maximum of 10 metres with a separate low-voltage extension cable.
