Dear User When the TV is switched off, can the LED strip also be programmed as normal living room lighting?

Yes, you can. With the Philips HUE app you can register the device and also use it as a normal LED light.

I assume you mean besides using it with SyncBox? If you like to play with the settings/app yes.
I did without so as not to get into a mess ;-)
