Hello to the community, I would like to have a professional install indirect ceiling lighting with Philips Hue LED Lightstrips in my living room. My question: Is the installation only possible with one power supply unit or for 20 metres with 2 power supply units or is there also a possibility to connect the system directly to the power without the power supply units? Because I don't want to see the power supply units! Do you have a solution for me or is it not possible at all? If it is possible, what would I have to order? LG Thorsten

Hello Thorsten,
This is theoretically possible, but you need a power supply unit between the LED strip and the mains.

The power supply unit is needed to regulate the mains voltage from 230V to 24V (possibly also 12V, I'm not sure how much it needs).

You could, for example, have an extension cable connected directly to the mains and then place the power supply somewhere inconspicuous, e.g. at the edge, if this is possible.

Or you could get another, suitable, power supply unit that is smaller/decreaser. Make sure that you have the same voltage (Volt[V]) and the same or more current (Ampere[A]) as the original.

greetings
