How is the Strip connected? Is it also connected to the WLAN and can then be controlled or is it only possible with Bluetooth?

Both are possible. You can control the Strip "smart", i.e. via WLAN and e.g. Apple Home app, but also "only" via Nanoleaf app and Bluetooth.
