I can see 2 LED controllers in the picture. Can the lamp be controlled like 2 lamps (like the Ensis, if anyone knows it), e.g. only shine upwards and thus indirectly illuminate the room?

Yes, that works. There are two controllers and two lamps in it. You can control each one individually in the app. They are recognised as two (separate) lamps!
