I don't understand, are these now the 2nd or 3rd generation? Can someone please enlighten me :)

There was no generation change here, only with the E27 colour.

Unfortunately, these are still the 2ndGen lamps. I would also be happy if I could upgrade them. The best thing would be to throw out the whole lamp and get one with E27/E14 for this part of the flat...
