I have rarely experienced such a fail in this day and age.
I strongly suspect that the majority of the products shipped were simply impossible to make the moon float.
Go back, I don't care if Digitec asks for a refund.
P.s.: all those who report problems on Gingko's YT channel get no feedback at all.
Out with the rubbish
I got it 99% right away, under 15 seconds. I've done it 30 times in the meantime. Make sure to rest your arms on the board, then hold the lamp lightly with two fingers each, the mark on the lamp must be directly above the mark on the board, then lower the lamp slowly. As soon as it pulls just a little to the left or right, take it away, because then it won't work any more. Stop after 2 or 3 failed attempts. You automatically get a bit tingly, even if you think you are calm. Take a break for 10 minutes, don't think and try again. Shouldn't be a problem. Every time I didn't manage it straight away was when I wanted to show others 😀 I think I was then unconsciously a bit tense, but didn't notice anything myself. So really just try it calmly without thinking.
Positioning the lamp correctly is indeed an art. In the meantime, however, I have succeeded several times, so don't give up too quickly. The trick is this: place your forearms on the table and then hold the lamp loosely on your hands next to the magnet to find the right spot. Good luck, you too can do it!
For me too: difficult at first, then it gets better and better. Support yourself and slowly descend with four fingers. If it doesn't work, move away for a moment and start again.
