My light bulb in the Mathmos lava lamp is broken. Where can I get a replacement bulb? The links from the others are inactive.

Depending on the year of production, the lava lamp requires either a halogen replacement bulb with a GU10 or E14 socket. Newer models require a 28W GU10 halogen bulb, which primarily serves as a heat source to dissolve the lava liquid. However, GU10 and E14 halogen lamps are no longer permitted in the EU due to environmental and energy efficiency regulations. Energy-efficient LED lamps are usually offered as an alternative to halogen lamps. However, these do not provide the same heat output that is required for the lava lamp. We recommend that you contact the manufacturer directly regarding the replacement bulb: https://mathmos.ch/kontakt

The manufacturer offers corresponding 28W capsule lamps with a GU10 adapter as a replacement for the 28W reflector lamps.
