Question about the exact measurement of the caddies: The length is given as 12cm, the width as 23cm. Which is which? In the corner where I want to install the thing, I have just under 17cm of space to the bar with the shower on it. Will a caddy fit in there?

The 23cm is the length and width of the shelf seen from above. With 17cm space, the baskets have no room.
