what does it mean that it switches off when it gets quiet in the room? Does it then also no longer show the time? Does the flick function also react to other noises? Does the display constantly change?

The display goes dark quite quickly (saves batteries), but when I tap the nightstand with my hand, the display appears again. This is clever from my point of view, because the display does not light up all night. This feature can also be turned off.
