Filter Material

The Eheim Carbon filter media, 5l, is designed for clarifying water during the initial setup phase of the aquarium. It effectively adsorbs both chlorine from tap water and other chemical substances that may enter the tank during the aquarium's establishment.

Application

Eheim Carbon should be used for a short period (approximately 4 weeks) in a layered setup after the mechanical filter media and biological filter media, using the provided mesh bag.

Note

Use adsorptive filter media for only a few weeks. Since pollutants only adhere to the media, they can eventually detach and be released back into the water. Regular replacement is necessary.
