Product details

EHEIM phosphateout is a special iron compound for chemical filtration. The iron binds phosphate, removes it from the water cycle, and gradually lowers the phosphate level in the aquarium. This primarily inhibits algae growth. When the phosphate level and consequently the algae growth rise again, the filter medium is exhausted and needs to be replaced. EHEIM phosphateout is available for external filters as granules and for internal filters as a foam cartridge. It is free from harmful substances and is suitable for both freshwater and saltwater.
