Quick test for determining the nitrite content in freshwater and saltwater aquariums as well as ponds. Nitrite is a toxic nitrogen compound that forms when there is a disturbance in the bacterial balance or when setting up a new aquarium. The test indicates the exact nitrite level of the water.
Laboratory comparison system to compensate for the inherent color of the water: Fill glass vials with sample water, add reagents to one vial, place the vial in the holder, and read values from the color chart.
Application: For setting up a new freshwater aquarium, test daily for 3 weeks. For initial setup with saltwater, test once a week. Also applicable in cases of fish diseases or fish deaths.
Package contents: 1 nitrite test for approximately 50 measurements, including 2 reagents, 2 glass vials with screw caps, syringe, comparator block, and color scale. Reagent refills available separately.
