Chicks have a high heat requirement after hatching and warm themselves under the feathers of the mother hen. The warmth accumulates under the feathers, and the chicks enjoy the cozy temperature. The CosyHeat heating plate works on the same principle. The chicks can hatch under the plate and rest in the snug warmth beneath it. They can snuggle directly against the plate.
