Invoxia Pet GPS Tracker
Dog, Cat, General
Absolutely unusable.
The location feedback is not every 5 minutes but every 5 hours.
INVOXIA is a top GPS tracker for use exclusively in Switzerland. The tracker is very small and light. Probably the smallest tracker ever. The technology IoT via LpN is the most modern and forward-looking compared to other trackers that are currently available. With the highest recording rate, the battery lasts 3.5 - 4 days. The tracker is fully recharged within an hour (from empty battery). If the animal is lying around, the device needs practically no energy. The tracker shows the location on approx. 20 m exactly. To find the wearer or a lost tracker, so from just under 20 m with Bluetooth and a "radar" on the app the device can be located precisely.
Price performance is unbeatable (149.00 device and 3 years runtime / subscription). However, the LpN coverage must be considered. Link>>

If the coverage is not comprehensive, there may be a delay with the transmission of the location(s).

I may have simply stumbled upon a "wrong number" but I wouldn't risk trying this product again. The experience for me was catastrophic:
Owning a farm located near a city, I wanted a device with a maximum of autonomy to monitor my dog and especially to be warned when she leaves our farm when she is in heat. So I opted for this device which promised a lot.
In the end, I found myself recharging every 2 days (indicated 3 months on the site, and almost a month on the packaging. Already, they don't give a damn about us...), woken up every night because my dog was going from the casino 1km to the south and then 10 minutes later in town 2km to the north (no, she was sleeping in our barn). I quickly deactivated the zone.
Many times, my dog was towards me and it was 2 km away. We are in an area with good network coverage... Maybe this device works better in the city, but for my part my mind is made up.
The dog lost the device two weeks ago. The service department sent me the last known position which is in my barn. It's been 5 days that I work with the "search" option activated on my phone, supposed to find easily the device while I'm going through all my buildings... impossible to find, a shame for a device supposed to find my pet !
In my jargon, we say "I might as well be in a jam jar"!

Super product! My cat only came home for a short while every 2-3 days... Thanks to the tracker, I found out where her territory was and was able to inform the neighbours that the cat should not be fed and should not be taken into the house. Since then, my cat comes home every evening again.

I am thrilled with this device.
- The use of LPN/LoRaWAN is ingenious. It also works indoors.
- Our cat has already lost the tracker twice. With the finder (Bluetooth function) I found the tracker once again behind flower pots of a neighbour's house. Without this Bluetooth function, it would never have worked.
- However, I would urgently write to the tracker with the additional remark "please put it in the letterbox". Most people do not know that this is a tracker that cost 149.-.
-However, the 20m range is rather generous. For me, it only stopped at about 5m. The search takes some time (30 minutes) and you should walk along the paths and look for typical resting places as a cat would do (rather on the walls of the house, undercover, in bushes, rarely in tall grasses etc.).
-It is not possible to activate an immediate position call, but this does not really bother with an interval of 2 or 5 minutes. The point is to know approximately where to look when the cat should come home. Mine also jumps up when his name is called, so this is totally sufficient for us.
-The battery life is impressive. My cat is on the move for several days with a 5 minute measurement. I previously had another device (Petpointer). Invoxia is superior in terms of battery and accuracy.
-The app is easy to use. Has more functions than you think at the beginning - see manual. No annoying subscription fees.
-The tracker is small, compact, very good material and also relatively safe with its own safety lock (collar).
I am very satisfied. Lasts approx. 2 weeks with 10min signal. I have already been able to catch my cat twice when he left the village. The close tracking via BlueTooth has also been used successfully to find the open/lost collar.
I don't understand the negative reviews. This is a device designed for minimal consumption. It doesn't react like a mobile phone, TV, etc. It can take as little as 1 minute for the app to find the transmitter via Bluetooth. Patience kids, it'll be fine. App setup and pairing worked on both Android and iOS (with patience). The apps are not identical, but they do +/- the same thing. Don't forget to update. I bought it with version 3.x, the current version is 4.x.
Bearing is within 5m. At 50km/h it can be 15m. So it is quite accurate.
Note that the last wifi SID is checked before the position is determined by GPS. If the SID is still identical, no new position is sent. (This will usually be in a house) However, if your neighbour has a strong outdoor antenna, it may be that the cat does not appear to be moving. But this rarely happens.
Order the collar as well. The product photo is only an example.
