can you switch it off with regard to the chip or not? i need such a big cat flap, but my 2 cats are not chipped. Just switch it off so they can go through normally. In our house on the 4th floor, no other cats can get through anyway :)

Regarding your question ' I have unfortunately only been able to switch between going out freely or going in freely without a chip with the battery in the flap.  However, there are also large flaps without electrical chip recognition as well as for small dogs.
