Hello, is this cat door also programmable on microchip and do I understand correctly that it controls entry and exit? As only one of our cats is currently allowed outside, this is the only way. Many thanks and greetings-

Hello Gabriella. I accidentally ordered exactly one CatMate Elite Selective, assuming that the built-in sesor could also read the cats' implanted microchips. But that doesn't seem to be the case with this model. I returned the cat flap and ordered a CatMate Microchip Elite instead. This is supposed to recognise implanted microchips as well as chips on a collar. But it costs a bit more. I hope this information helps you. LG, Roger
