What do you mean by rattling? The cracking sound when the distance sensor is activated or when the plastic door comes up against the wedge?
Firstly: It is possible that other animals (including insects, snails, etc.) trigger the activation of the flap, simply clean/shoo them away briefly.
Secondly: Draughts, vibrations in the environment, wind. The flap makes no noise from any of these.
