First aid for removing the stinging hairs of the oak processionary caterpillar. Upon contact with the stinging hairs of an oak processionary caterpillar, it is advisable to first roll the skin with a lint roller. If possible, rinse the skin thoroughly afterward. It is unwise to rub the skin if itching occurs, as this can spread the stinging hairs further. After rinsing, pat the skin dry and then apply the ointment for oak processionary caterpillars.

Warning: For external use only. Do not apply to the nose, eyes, wounds, or damaged skin. Keep out of reach of small children. Store in a cool, dark place. To avoid further irritation, it is advisable to thoroughly wash the clothing worn during contact with the caterpillar. The ointment nourishes, cools, and soothes the skin after contact with the stinging hairs of the oak processionary caterpillar.

The oak processionary caterpillar (Thaumetopea processionea) is the larva of a moth found on oak trees in May, June, and July, foraging for food: oak leaves, in groups. The caterpillars molt several times and eventually develop microscopically small stinging hairs. These can cause discomfort in both humans and animals, such as itching, rashes, and irritation of the eyes or respiratory tract.

Application instructions: First, rinse the skin thoroughly with water and pat dry (do not rub). Then, move the lint roller over the skin to remove any remaining hairs. Next, apply the procession gel and gently massage it into the irritated skin to ensure quick absorption. Repeat the process if necessary.
