This controller has been specifically developed for heating and cooling control in 2-pipe systems for hotel, residential, and commercial spaces and can control up to 5 valve actuators (normally closed). The KTRTB measures the room temperature with an internal sensor and activates heating or cooling according to the deviation from the setpoint. By using a triac as the switching element instead of a relay/bimetal, no switching noises occur during operation. An internal switch allows the existing contact input to be configured as an ECO contact or standby contact.

ECO Function: When this function is selected, the heating operation is regulated to a temperature 3 K lower and the cooling operation to a temperature 3 K higher.
Standby Function: When this function is selected, the controller is turned off (frost protection remains active).
