A high-quality knife should only be used with a proper knife-friendly cutting board. The advantages of a fiberboard include not only the longevity of the knife blade but also maintenance-free use and moisture resistance. The cutting board made from biowood fibers can be safely washed in the dishwasher and does not require sanding or oiling like traditional solid wood boards.

The board is significantly thinner than traditional wooden boards and may initially feel hard under the knife, but it softens quickly in use and is kinder to the knife's edge compared to plastic cutting boards. The heat resistance of compressed wood fibers is also significantly higher than that of traditional wood boards, so it can safely be used as a trivet. Biowood fiber boards have received NSF approval and thus meet strict hygiene regulations. The size of the board is 24 x 14 cm and the thickness is 6.5 mm.

Scratches that occur on the surface of the board can be removed with fine sandpaper, but this is often unnecessary since the scratches are only a cosmetic issue.
