A quality knife should only be used with a proper knife-friendly cutting board. The advantage of a wood fiber board is, in addition to blade preservation, maintenance-free use and durability against moisture. A cutting board made from biowood can be safely washed in the dishwasher and does not need to be sanded or oiled like a traditional solid wood board.

The board is considerably thinner than traditional wooden boards and initially feels hard under the knife, but quickly softens during use, making it friendlier to the knife's edge than plastic cutting boards. The heat resistance of compressed wood fiber is also significantly higher than that of conventional wooden boards, allowing it to be safely used as a trivet. Biowood boards have received NSF certification and thus meet strict hygiene regulations. The size of the board is 33 x 23 cm and the thickness is 6.5 mm.

Scratches that form on the surface of the board during use can be removed with fine sandpaper, but this is often unnecessary as the scratches are only a cosmetic nuisance.
