The internal Bauknecht water filter cartridge eliminates chlorine and water impurities, such as lead, deposits, cloudiness, and rust, that can result from the plumbing system, using an activated carbon filter. To ensure that you always receive professionally filtered water in fresh and clean quality from your cooling appliance, we recommend replacing the original Bauknecht water filter cartridge every 6 months.

Please note: The filter is not compatible with refrigerators that have an external water filter. According to the manufacturer's recommendations, you should always replace the water filter when:

• the corresponding warning light on your refrigerator turns on (model-dependent)
• the refrigerator has not been used for an extended period
• there is any odor or cloudiness in the water
• or as a precaution, at least every 6 months
