I briefly consulted the manufacturer about this: This unit automatically evaporates the condensation water in cooling mode. When the air conditioner is operating in cooling mode, the permanent drain does not need to be connected; only in special climatic conditions, when the humidity is very high, water may accumulate in the unit. When the internal tank is full, the air conditioner emits 8 acoustic beeps; the display shows the message H8 and thus the filling has taken place. The operation of the unit is then blocked.
