Behind the display, you can remove the cover to change the batteries.

The BWT Penguin is advertised individually, but I have to order 2, I can't select it individually. Is this a mistake or do I now have to buy the Brita if I only want one, which the vast majority do?

This was determined by the supplier. We have no influence on this. There is an offer from another third party retailer in this section, but it is much more expensive. Unfortunately, we cannot offer this item ourselves.
