Questions about Kenwood Ice maker

Dear Galaxus, please adapt the item description so that it is really clear for which machines the Frozer is suitable and for which it is not. The list at the end of the item description is illogical, contradictory and unclearly written. For example, the Frozer is exactly NOT suitable for the old Chef Titanium models (e.g. KM010). When I tried to start the Frozer, the lid broke because it was against the machine housing and pushed the bowl out of the stirrer's axis of rotation, which put pressure on the lid when the machine was closed and finally broke it when I tried to start the machine.

I had the same problem with the Kenwood Chef Sense. When I couldn't return the ice maker with the broken lid, I searched YouTube for videos with an introduction... and lo and behold, the part that moves the stirring pallet doesn't have to be plugged in, but placed so that the Kenwood head can push it in front of it. I ordered a replacement lid via Fust's customer service and now it works. There are no proper instructions on how to connect it to the Kenwood, so Kenwood or the seller must do something about this.

Is it not possible to buy just a single ice element (as with the previous model)? Do you actually have to buy the whole ice maker if you want an additional element? How much would the individual ice element cost and how would the order have to be entered?

You have to buy the whole KAX71 ice cream attachment again if you want a second ice cream element, it does not officially work separately.

The pictures show the Kenwood Titanium Chef Patissier XL model, but it is not listed among the compatible models. Is it compatible with this model. Thank you very much

Hello, The ice-cream maker is designed to accept as many Chef and Chef XL machines as possible, but when it is fitted directly to the bowl, it is unfortunately not universal. The accessory will not work on the following models: KM08, KM33, KM63, KMC01, KMC03, KMC50, KMM02, KMM04, KMM7, KMP05, KMP77, KPL90 and any kMix multifunction food processor. Please check the compatibility of your food processor model. You may find the model number on the underside of your machine.

What are the dimensions of the part that is effectively placed in the freezer? We have a rather small freezer. With the dimensions here on Galaxus, the ice maker would be 1 cm too big. However, I can see from a photo on the Kenwood homepage that not everything has to go in the freezer, e.g. not the plastic cover. Thank you very much!

Good evening, You only need to put the white tray in the freezer, without the lid. Top diameter 23.5 cm, height 12 cm, measured without the lid. I hope I have answered your question. A very nice evening and best regards
