You cannot make breadcrumbs directly with this chopper as it does not have a specific function for grinding flour. Not that I know of. We have the same problem and unfortunately I've never found a replacement part.

I have a smaller Kitchen Aid for pesto and nuts. But the machine is strong and can do everything. This large machine can be used for larger quantities. For smaller quantities, the small one would be better, even with washing and feeding. The youtube videos helped me with the decision.
I use it mainly for smoothies, but especially fruit smoothies... apple, banana, kiwi, pears, berries, mango, etc.

This works very well, I often make purees or hummus with it. In between, depending on the consistency, switch off the appliance, push everything down from the edge with the dough scraper and then continue to puree.
