Plus 1. on Amazon there are only the China crap copies that can be thrown in the rubbish as soon as they arrive. Search for brush for the side and main brush.
Yes, the model I ordered and received a fortnight ago has the bumper on it!
So it manages about 1.5 centimetres for us (down into the bathroom). I don't know if it can do more.
If I have understood correctly, it does not work in this case.
Yes. I think so. Found the following. https://nachbelichtet.com/xiaomi-roborock-saugroboter-von-der-cloud-befreien/
Yes, with limitations. With WIFI & APP you have more functions available.
No, everything is fine! The amount of water can be adjusted. Even with unsealed parquet everything is fine!
the name.
I have a bookcase where the bottom shelf (board on the floor) is 1.50cm high. He climbs up, wipes the shelf and then climbs back down to the floor. I don't know if this also works with 2cm...
Hello Kertyb. To use the Roborock S5 you need the Roborock app. (With this app it is possible to start the robot from anywhere. I hope this answers your question.
The following accessories are not included in the delivery: Manual.
Ich würde mal beim Support nachfragen: https://helpcenter.digitec.ch/hc/de/requests/new
The only difference is the colour, both devices can do the same. Probably supply/demand that regulates the price.
The customer service department should be contacted for this: https://helpcenter.galaxus.ch/hc/fr/requests/new
That's relatively easy to answer, you get the best navigation with the Roborock S6 MaxV, it has 3D object recognition with cameras and a built-in database. But for wet mopping, the S7 would be the best, as it can lift the mop top on carpet (pointless on long haired carpets of course, as this lift is not very high) and it would have an optional suction station. An S6 MaxV, S5 Max or S7, they all clean very well. The navigation is the best with the S6 MaxV, because the others can only navigate with infrared and laser, the S6 MaxV can do that too, but it can also recognise the objects as such, e.g. a lamp base, a scale, shoes and power strips, the other Roborocks cannot do that.
The old model is not mentioned in the question, but better than an S5 Max would be, for example, the S6 MaxV with the built-in 3D object recognition, it is expandable thanks to the database integrated in the robot hoover by Roborock and can select objects better. The surcharge is not that high. Roborock S6 MaxV If by predecessor the S5 without Max was meant, the S5 Max now has a much larger water tank, which is mounted in the back of the device. This tank is the same on the S6 MaxV and S5 Max. Both also have an electronic water pump that allows you to regulate the flow rate in the app. The old S5 only had a passive water tank without an integrated pump, which was attached to the bottom of the hoover. There was relatively little water in it compared to the S5 Max and S6 MaxV.
2cm is just enough, it is a question of the bumper that is attached to the front of the robot, higher than this bumper height is not possible. Too high is not good either, because otherwise it will fall all over the place. Another thing you could do is lay a construction over the thresholds that has a small ramp on both sides, connected and not permanent, when you let it go then lay out these ramp constructions everywhere, collect them again after vacuuming. By the way, the Roborock S6 MaxV doesn't cost much more, but it would also have 3D object recognition and that would help to recognise and avoid cables and other things. Roborock S6 MaxV The wiping possibilities are the same as with the S5 Max, but the S6 MaxV is just a whole class better because it can also recognise objects.
As far as I know, there is no robot hoover that can connect via the 5GHz WLAN. Important to know: 5G is for the phones, they can also use 4G. WLAN 5GHz and 2.4 GHz the phones can of course also, but that would be for WLAN. The set-up works via the 2.4 GHz WLAN, which is also provided by a normal router with WLAN, for example. The phones can all use both 2.4 GHz and most also 5GHz WLAN, but this has nothing to do with the 5G network, which is only important for the data connection to the phone provider.
I haven't tested it, but the basic impression is that nothing really works without Wi-Fi. Apart from pressing the start button and cleaning. I turned off the Wi-Fi and the vacuum at night for a while - a huge derby every time until it reconnected. Basically, it's a brilliant device, but it reacts sensitively to manual intervention. It would probably prefer a flat without thresholds, which it can clean independently (and in permanent consultation with the Xiaomi Cloud). For example, if I carry it from one room to another (because of the thresholds) and then have it clean, it sometimes forgets the map of the entire flat because it is so scared...
Yes, it works, the hoover only needs internet if you want to control it remotely or if you need to install new firmware. As a half-price alternative, there is the new Xiaomi Dreame D9 robot hoover. It is also equipped with technology that works as well in principle as the Roborock S5 Max. Xiaomi Dreame D9
Yes exactly
The Roborock can certainly manage about 2 cm, if they drive at the right angle onto an obstacle, then even 2.5 cm. In order for the robots to overcome obstacles very well, you can also put silicone rubbers on the wheels, which are actually intended as protective covers. The main problem is not the actual height, but the fact that the wheels are made of relatively hard rubber and therefore don't lift well on the edges of things.
I'm not sure about the 2cm slats. He has already tried to drive out onto the balcony over a threshold of about 1.5 cm. I have no idea about question 2. I don't see any disadvantages of S5Max. It is a good reliable device, cleans well. Especially the damp pick up takes away a good bit of dust. All in all, very satisfied after 1 year of use.
Yes, it works perfectly without wifi.
