Hello, I have a gas boiler in my house and I have installed 3 of them, for the living room and the 2 bedrooms. I've installed 3 of them in my house, for the living room and 2 bedrooms. You connect them in place of the existing electronic heating controllers, there are 3 wires to connect and their manual is very well explained. To screw it to the wall I created a support so I don't have to drill extra holes which I printed with a 3d printer: you can find the plans here, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4614705

No, it is not true that you can switch it off at the thermostat. But you can set the temperature down and up, but only in 1 degree increments. At least that's the case with my Tado thermostats, which I bought 1.5 years ago. You can switch them off completely via the app and also adjust them in 0.5 degree increments. The app is much more convenient anyway because you can also create schedules.

I have Tado in 4 rooms with underfloor heating in the Minergie area, where the heating is super portable. Whether this results in energy savings, I only believe to a limited extent. The main advantage, however, is the time-based control (I only need certain rooms at weekends), the remote control (switching on and off during holidays) and the statistics. Gimmicks such as location-dependent control is of course nonsense again for underfloor heating. But all in all, I would buy Tado again and recommend it.
