Mine was fitted with a CH plug. Saftey Touch is probably the name given to the fact that you can always touch the outside of the kettle without burning your fingers. And the limescale filter at the spout is a "net" that holds back coarse pieces of limescale, but certainly not dissolved limescale.

There's a few plastic pieces on the inside of the lid and around the filter, but the water doesn't touch them while boiling, only when pouring. I don't know about BPA, but event if the plastic contains it, the contamination should be pretty minimal I think.

Hi, Digitec has asked for help for you. The filter consists of a very fine metal mesh that is moulded into a plastic frame. The filter can be pulled out of the plastic holder. As described, the housing is double-walled and made entirely of stainless steel. The volume specification for the double-walled version is 1.3L (the single-walled version has 1.6L). The filling quantity is inside, but you can feel the filling in no time. I can recommend this product with a clear conscience.

It is made entirely of stainless steel and according to our information there should be no plastic parts inside that come into contact with water or steam.
