The design is OK, but the design is very bulky. The operation for temperature preselection is cumbersome and the beeping is annoying. The level indicator (only visible from above) would need more than just a min/max. However, the pouring spout, which is imprecise with or without the strainer insert, is not at all good. Do not buy!

The best kettle I have found. I am now buying my third.

The pouring might look fancy, but is functionally the worst design as it's dripping water around the target. Can't pour into small openings without splashing hot water all around.
The buttons are inconveniently hard to press. You move the whole thing around trying to operate it one-handed.
If you take it off prematurely it does not reset. It keeps boiling after putting it back on the dock, which is counter-intuitive.
There's cheap plastics on the inside of the kettle. I do not like these plastics getting into contact with the boiling water. The plastic handle feels rather cheap, too.
I'd rather pay more and have them not making compromises in the product design. This product does not feel like upper-mid class quality.

Top quality, fast boil, very quiet, looks awesome, and made in Germany!
Unfortunately, it hasn't been "made in Germany" for a long time. After the first one went out after just under a year, the second one went out after 13 months. With normal use by 2 people. There is a lot of corresponding feedback in German forums. - Too bad, it would have been a great device, but at this price you can expect better quality!
Looks good and seems very well thought out: The 4 most common temperatures at the touch of a button. ( Ok, maybe only 3, who needs the 70° for the "Japanese shade tea"?)
Relatively quiet and fast thanks to double-walled construction. Unlike our old one, you can hardly scald yourself, no steam escapes in the wrong place, the outer wall doesn't get particularly hot and there is even a plastic insert on the lid so that you don't have to press on the already hot metal when closing it.
There are two disadvantages of the double-wall construction that I did not foresee: The weight, the kettle already weighs 1.2 kg empty. The volume, it takes up a bit more space than our old 1.7 l cooker.
Fortunately, there is a Swiss triple plug on the connection cable, which can be pulled out of the base to exactly the required length with a little skill. But if you need more than about 40 cm, you're out of luck.
