Marleen (Jella Haase) experiences her everyday life as a steep mountain - insurmountable! At just 20, she can't even decide on a field of study. Not even her beloved older brother (Matthias Schweighöfer) can pull her out of her ongoing slump. It takes a personal catastrophe to shake the socially anxious Marleen so much that she throws herself headfirst into an adventure that is far too big for her: A ship is waiting for her in the Hamburg harbor, ready to take her to Antarctica. But how is she supposed to get across the country to Hamburg with only eight euros in her pocket? This marks the beginning of an emotional journey, during which Marleen discovers that there are indeed even crazier people out there than herself. And she makes the surprising realization: the further she travels, the closer she gets to herself.
