(1) How often does the filter have to be replaced here, as it is an accessory that has to be bought each time? (2) Is it quiet enough for use in the bedroom? (3) Is this the successor model to the E2441 (Kassensturz test winner 2019)?
I have been using the W200 for half a year now. I washed the evaporator mat once, but only out of curiosity. It works great and I am very satisfied. In silent mode, you can hear the motor a bit when you sleep, but you quickly get used to it. So it's not like other devices where you have to use ear pax ;)
2. it has two humidification levels, the low level is always quiet enough for use in the bedroom. I use it there myself and I don't hear anything.
2. no, much too loud, even at the lower level. The motor that turns the mat is clearly audible, as is the fan itself. Maybe possible if you've been to a concert before or have otherwise drugged your ears :-)
No, the E2441 was a pure evaporator where the evaporator mat had to be changed regularly. With the W200 air washer, the mat is constantly rinsed in water and thus remains clean and always moist. In addition to humidifying, the W200 cleans the air of coarse dust particles and pollen, which the E2441 could not do.
1. the W200 does not have a filter in the sense that it uses an evaporative mat that is soaked up with water, from which the water evaporates into the air. It does not need to be replaced because it can be washed in the washing machine and is then ready for use again. (If it does get too dirty, you can buy a new mat). The only thing that needs to be changed is the Ionic Silver Stick, but only once a year, at the beginning of the winter season (this is the case with most humidifiers).
