Can anyone tell me how big the diameter is that rests on the cooker? Our induction cooker only recognises >12cm...

I bought the Bialetti New Venus (10 T.).
The total diameter is 12.8 cm and the contact surface on the cooker is 11.7 cm (measured).

Hello! We are also just buying an induction cooker and wonder if we could make espresso on it with a Bialetti New Venus for 6 cups, which has a base around 10cm wide. Has anyone had any experience that they can pass on? We would be very grateful, because that way we would know which espresso machine to buy.
