Can the top plate be adjusted in height, e.g. for slightly thicker panini? If so, is the plate then still horizontal or somehow slanted, i.e. more open at the front and lower at the back? Thank you!
The rear hinge is not fixed, but can be pulled out upwards when folded, so that it also rests well on larger panini.
However, even this construction cannot overcome physics, so you have to make sure that you fill the thing as evenly as possible so that everything has good contact.
In any case, we are extremely satisfied with the device and its handling (it is easy to operate and clean).
