It does that without any problems. But I would recommend buying the slightly more expensive Bianco. I have both of them. And this one is really incredibly loud. And the small attachment that you can buy separately for smaller quantities and smoothies etc. doesn't fit on this model (I bought it without knowing that). The quality of the Bianco di puro is really great!

This blender can do everything you can imagine. It is extremely powerful. However, the standard pot is not so suitable for very small quantities. I think there is another pot for smaller quantities, but you have to/can buy it separately.
