The Netatmo Starter Pack, which includes the Hub, is a basic package that forms the basis for the Netatmo smart home system. The thermostat itself is a separate device that can be added as an option to control the radiator thermostats.

You only need the thermostat if you specifically want to make the radiator thermostats in your home smart and control them via the Netatmo system. The Starter Pack allows you to set up the network and integrate other Netatmo devices, but it does not automatically include the thermostat for the radiators. This must be purchased and installed separately.
